Elphin in Winter, Scottish Highlands

This may be my favourite photo taken on a jaunt around Assynt in the Scottish Highlands on Feb 19th 2022.

For me personally, the village of Elphin is quite magical to behold, and could easily transport itself to the pages of a Tolkien novel.

On this particular day, the village was looking at its striking best, and is a little oasis nestled amongst the menace of the surrounding mountains.

Whichever direction one travels from Elphin, it leads to striking landscapes and the spirit of my Scottish forefathers...
