Bow Fiddle Rock, Tropical Colours

This image was taken on my first visit to the iconic Bow Fiddle Rock in Portknockie, Highlands.

I decided to do this the hard way by incorporating the photo shoot into a 12 mile round hike over the cliffs.

This turned out to have been a very fortuitous decision, as the blue sky appeared for just long enough to take this long exposure of the rock.

The remainder of the day became windy and wet, so it just goes to show how much a little luck can influence a photo.
