Torridon, a Stag and a Rainbow

One of my favourite (and luckiest) photos of a stag to date.

This image was capture on 08 Mar 2020 in the late afternoon light after a long, icy hike around Loch Clair and Loch Coulin near Torridon (Scottish Highlands).

A rainbow appeared as the clouds became dark and menacing in the background. Calum (apparently his name) posed in the road and the scene was just too fantastic for words.

Yet this was only just another in a catalogue of small special moments to be experienced in the Highlands...
